Steel giants CISDI and Lianyuan Steel have pledged to work ever-closer on upgrades for the steel sector.

A strategic partnership framework agreement has been inked at CISDI HQ in Chongqing.

Both parties will strive to formalise a comprehensive partnership, which will pursue ‘mutually beneficial long-term results’.   

The companies will be expanding their joint implementation of steel industrial upgrading and enhancing green, low-carbon and environmental governance standards.

They will also join forces on new energy and energy-saving tech projects, intelligent manufacturing and smart factory developments, engineering and construction, applied products and industrial development.

Lixin Yan, CEO of Lianyuan Steel, explained his plant had recently gone through extensive reforms and transitions and detailed its production system and future plans.

Partnering with CISDI will enable Lianyuan to take advantage of its tech, capacity for innovation and its team of experts to boost business development quality, he said.

“Our wider collaboration will help to speed up China’s steel sectoral integration and technological innovation as the country moves towards a sustainable steel future,” he commented.

Following an overview of CISDI, including the company’s history, its technological innovations and main business arenas, its chairman Xuewen Xiao commented: “Our massive research and development programme and technical innovations are helping customers all over the work to enhance their competitiveness, increase the digital, smart running of their companies, develop greater environmental protection and extend their product ranges.”

He commented on Lianyuan Steel’s remarkable product restructuring, its process and equipment upgrading and the creation of its eco-plant and stressed CISDI’s determination to apply its strengths in tech and solutions to help Lianyuan’s latest round of developments.
