A delegation led by CISDI’s chairman Xuewen Xiao headed to China’s Jiangsu Province to develop an innovative green steel demo project with Zenith Steel Group.

CISDI received orders from Zenith for the master design and utilities design of its showcase project immediately after returning to work following China’s COVID-19 lockdown.

To avoid travel, teams at CISDI had to work on the general layout from site plans, planning and feasibility studies.

Zenith’s chairman Caiping Dong spoke appreciatively of CISDI’s efforts to accelerate its scheme during difficult times for their country.

“Together, CISDI and Zenith will create a world-leading private steel enterprise,” he pledged.

“CISDI is renowned for its smart factory expertise and is interested in developing new service modes for Zenith. The design and construction of this green project is a priority for us but we hope it will lead to further co-operation between the two companies,” emphasised Mr Xiao.
