A new, green and intelligent blast furnace has been started up at Xusteel in Jiangsu Province.
CISDI is its EPC-based service contractor for this important project in Xusteel’s Phase III development.
A host of CISDI’s expert products and inventions have been applied to the 2,120-cubic-metre blast furnace and its auxiliary system to achieve a projected annual output of 1.80 million tonnes:
✔ BCQ patented serial-hopper no-bell top system
✔ A profile with complete cast-iron, thin refractory lining for furnace proper – applied to strengthen smelting
✔ Patented eco-friendly siphon bottom-filtering system for granulated slag separation
✔ Dense-phase PCI system
✔ Highly-efficient TRT power generation system
✔ Industrial water recycle system
The blast furnace is being designed to achieve long service life, stable running and energy conservation. Its operation will scale up the steel plant’s green, intelligent manufacturing targets and enhance its competitiveness.
Teams from CISDI and its partners worked in unison to meet the tight schedule in the face of complicated site conditions and stormy weather.
CISDI optimised design, procurement and construction to ensure all milestones in the entire blast furnace system were met.
