Software has been successfully commissioned for the new skin pass mill at Baosteel Shanghai’s 2,050mm super-high-strength strip rolling line.

CISDI supplied the unit and provided the technical guidance and commissioning assistance for this highly automated, intelligent operation.

Only one worker is needed to operate the unit. Robots, instruments, sensors and a visual identity system carry out all other functions.

CISDI pooled its technical skills and resources with those of Baosteel’s team to achieve successful commissioning and optimisation. The task was extremely challenging due to the wide variation in raw materials and complex working conditions.
