CISDI to develop software to transform NISCO’s blast furnace

NISCO has contracted CISDI to develop new-generation software which will transform the operation of its blast furnace 2.

CISDI will create a hearth corrosion model and L2 automation software.

The model will act as a visual tool for monitoring hearth’s health status and managing its service life.  

It will monitor, predict and warn of corrosion on the internal lining profile and the variation of skull.

The new-generation L2 - process computer control - creates favourable conditions for reducing smelting costs, improving scientific management levels and product quality.

Blast furnace operations become safer, smoother and much more efficient, and campaign life is extended.
